I Like The "Librarians" A Lot

Last Saturday when I was visiting with my fiancé in Redondo Beach, I went to the Redondo Beach library to return the Modern Bride magazines that I checked out there but never had time to even flip a page. This is the first library in America I ever checked out any item from. (see my past experience with libraries from my previous post... ) I really love the library there cause it's very nice both inside and outside. There is no wiered smelly patron... The shelves are very well organized and the place is modern and extremely well maintained. And boy, how I love the parking facility there!

Anyway, the librarians there are very helpful, friendly and I can't say enough good things about their dedicated service there!!! I went home and I told my fiancé my enjoyable visit in the library his tax dollar funded (Redondo Beach isn't part of the City of Los Angeles) and I said, "I really like the Liberians !!!" He asked, "Where did you meet these Liberians?" I replied, "In your library... They are so very wonderful..." He then cracked up and said, "What were you and all these Liberians doing in the library? Were you trying to help the Liberians return to America from Liberia because you like them so much ...hahaha.......I bet you had never met a Liberian in your entire life......"

Because English is not my first language, I pronounced "Librarians" as "Liberians".... My fiancé was right, I had never met one single Liberian in my entire life:))) When I realized what I had been telling him, I couldn't stop laughing at myself.... This wasn't the first time I cracked myself up because of my English, and I really enjoy being a non-native English speaker here, it just makes everything sound so much more fun.

You should check out the library downtown in Santa Monica.
